All vaccinators are either Registered Pharmacists or Registered Nurses with current authorisation to provide adult immunisations. Onsite Health is Cold Chain Accredited, which means vaccines are handled to Ministry of Health standards to maintain potency.  

The vaccination itself is quick. Each staff member’s flu jab takes just a few minutes, with minimal disruption to the workday. A typical vaccination rate is around 20 to 30 staff per vaccinator per hour, although actual timing can vary depending staff flow, workplace needs, and other factors.  

After vaccination, staff should remain onsite for a short 15 minute observation period. This is standard practice after immunisation and helps ensure immediate support is available if needed.
